Activities
Borneo offers a quite unique variety of experiences - from trekking through a
region that has hardly changed in 50 years, without roads in or out, high up
in the mountains of the interior to sophisticated shopping malls in the
coastal towns and cities and finally also a haven of wildlife and unique
species in its rainforests and along its river banks.
We hope you will find the things that really will
make your trip to Borneo a "once in a lifetime" experience.
In some areas, notably the Highlands of Sarawak (Bario), there are only
privately run lodges and on some of the treks you will have to stay the night
at simple jungle shelters and abandoned longhouses. However most of the time,
even in those remote areas, you will be overwhelmed by the welcome and
friendliness of the tribes people around you. Not without reason is it called
the "Heart of Borneo".
